Our Brazilian riven slate signs can be cut to size and shape to suit any project, from a small house number to a large commercial sign, all needs can be catered for.
Prices vary depending on the size of the piece and the amount of text required.
House numbers start from £55 +VAT, House names start from £85 +VAT.

We can provide any font that is available in Microsoft or if you have a font in mind, we will try our best to replicate this.
Images and logos can be engraved onto slate, depending on the level of detail these may need to be lasered instead.
Engraving is infilled with a hard-wearing paint that will stand the test of time. The standard colour for the infill is white, however we can supply other colours on request.
We can include countersunk holes to enable you to fit the sign where needed. Alternatively, we can secure fixing rods into the back of the sign if required.
We stock our Brazilian Slate in two colours: Graphite Black and Blue Grey.
Our slate has a fine riven finish, this means you will see some natural texture across the surface as well as some variation in colour. We do not stock honed slate.
Ardosia Slate’s signs are hand made by our own craftsmen, at our facility in North Devon, to the customer’s specification, although advice on all aspects of the design is readily available. We are not restricted to text, images can also be engraved or laser etched.
When thinking about how a sign should be mounted consideration must be given to the size & weight of the sign, as well as the material that will be providing the support. You can specify the number & position of fixing holes at time of ordering. Alternatively, for bigger signs fixing rods can be added to the back of signs We will be happy to advise when we know where and on what material the sign will be mounted.
Signs can also be manufactured to provide directions, for commercial property and building name signs, information boards or as wall decoration for either interior or exterior use.
